Before the game, Morstead went over to talk with Saints fans who held a sign that said, "Welcome home Morstead."
The Saints social media team on X captured Morstead on the sideline before the game, who was heard saying, "give me a hug" to the videographer in the video below.

The Times-Picayune and columnist Jeff Duncan noted that there were Saints fans donning Morstead's No. 6 jersey in the Superdome.
I've already seen a handful of No. 6 Saints jerseys in the crowd in celebration of Thomas Morstead's return to the Dome today.

The 49ers signed Morstead back in May of this past offseason after moving on from longtime punter Mitch Wishnowsky. The Jets, Falcons, and Dolphins were the other teams Morstead played for after leaving the Saints.
