The details for Cam Jordan's are in.ย
After a resurgent 2025 that saw him record double-digit sacks for the first time in four years, Jordan signed a one-year, $7.5 million contract with the New Orleans Saints last week โ an upfront increase over the pay cut he took last year.
According to ESPNโs Katherine Terrell, Jordanโs new deal contains a one-year, $1.35 million base salary and a prorated signing bonus worth $6.15 million. The deal contains four years to spread out Jordanโs cap hit, which is $2.58 million in 2026. The contract voids the following year and is set to leave $4.9 million million in dead money.
Jordanโs contract, like his last one, includes incentives that could make it worth up to $11 million, according to New Orleans.Footballโs Nick Underhill.
Jordan is coming off a restructured contract that was initially worth $6.05 million for one year. But based on incentives, Jordan earned an additional $2 million after he led the Saints with 10 ยฝ sacks.
With his new deal, Jordan earned more money up front and has the chance to surpass the total he earned last year.ย
Jordanโs bounce-back campaign last season arguably made negotiations for a new deal more complicated this time around. The Saints and Jordan did not reach a deal until June 16, two months after his previous contract expired. Jordan said there were a โcouple of bumps that got cleared up recentlyโ to help facilitate a deal.
โIn any negotiation, thereโs always going to be things that you want and can get through,โ Jordan said, later adding, โWhen it comes down to it, itโs lifestyle. Itโs the idea that I (can) play for the same team my entire career.
โThereโs no amount of money in the league that says, โHey, just turn your back on everything that you built,โ he added.
Jordan has said that he intends for his 16th season with the Saints to be the last of his career.
