As summer heats up, Lafayette is welcoming two new restaurants with distinct offerings.

All Day took over the former SoLou space at 1905 Kaliste Saloom Road, across from the River Ranch shopping center. They are welcoming diners for their grand opening today at 5 p.m., and in their soft opening period, the restaurant has provided a glimpse of what they're bringing to the table.ย

Owner Justin Audibert said that the concept is about "shifting experiences throughout the day," with breakfast and espresso in the morning and lunch, cocktails and unique entrees available through the rest of the day. The menu is unique for the area and is mostly gluten-free, including the fried items, according to the owner.ย

With dishes like spicy vodka pasta, crab-stuffed shrimp, ceviche, lobster rolls and smash burgers, there's something to excite everyone at All Day. For lunch, I tried the BLTAย โ€” a bacon, lettuce and tomato on sourdough, with the addition of a fried green tomato, avocado and garlic aioli.

All Day 4

The BLTA is served atย All Day, which will have its grand opening on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 1905 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Lafayette, LA.ย

It was a delicious, filling sandwich with bold flavor that sets it apart from the classic BLT,ย and other plates like the queso flameado (melted jack cheese topped with pico de gallo and served with tortillas) looked like they'd be excellent alongside a cocktail. As a rum fan, I'm eager to try the "Midnight Mojito" with Diplomatico rum and muddled blueberries and mint next time I'm there.ย

It's also a big day for Lafayette bar Legends, which is opening a new standalone location this evening atย 4401 Johnston Street, at the Rena Drive light. The new spot is offering happy hour from 2 to 7 p.m. in celebration, and features a large patio for gatherings.ย

New Legends on Johnston

Legends will have its grand opening at 4401 Johnston St., Lafayette on Thursday, June 18, 2026.ย

With these openings, the Camellia corridor is about to become an even more special place for outings in Lafayette. Whether you're jonesing for a Legends margarita, or a contemporary dining experience in River Ranch, these spots are both ready to welcome you this summer.ย
