Tom Long, a representative of HRI, and Ensign Joseph Dyches, of Naval Facilities Command, talk at Quarters A at Naval Support Activity.The Navy has awarded a $1.6 million contract to redo Quarters A, the 1840's era country home located at Naval Support Activity in Algiers , which the military has used as the residence for the senior officer in the city since WWII. Contractor for the job is American Contractor and Technology Inc. The project is a Base Realignment and Closure(BRAC) project and when complete will serve as the residence of the Commander of Marine Forces Reserve, a three-star Lieutenant General. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
