Public school students will return to class Friday after having two days off because of the threat of heavy rains from Hurricane Harvey.
Jefferson Parish Public School System closed schools Wednesday for fear that heavy rains could flood streets and block access to schools, but announced Thursday that students and teachers would return for class on Friday.
