Chance Cavin claimed the top prizes in the South h High Power Rifle Club’s Garand/Springfield championship held at the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Range last Sunday.
Cavin won both the M1 Garand and Springfield rifle state championships.
Dwayne Vidrine used his shooting in those two events to win the Iron Man Trophy. Both events limit shooters to using iron sights. Vidrine scored a 287 with six bull's-eyes with a 1903 model Springfield rifle.
Joey St. Germain won the F-Class match.
