Trevor Russell, Ascension Christian: The Lions senior led his team to two wins this past week in boys basketball. He finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds, seven steals and five assists in a 66-40 win over Slaughter Charter Wednesday. Russell had 18 points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists in a 65-49 win over Ascension Catholic.
Jeremy Williams, Denham Springs: The Yellow Jackets junior led the team in scoring with 15 points to lift his side over Central, 62-55, in overtime. He scored 10 points in overtime and the fourth quarter.
Michael Hanemann, Catholic: The Bears wrestler battled his way through the 120 bracket of the 2026 Greater BR Championship as the No. 3-seed. Hanemann won by fall, 3-0, in the final over Zachary's Joshua Scott to win a title.
Breann Cullen, East Ascension: Cullen became a champion at the 2026 Women's Greater BR Championship after she defeated Live Oak's Khali Rodgers by pin, 13-0, in the 165 final.
George Perkins, Baton Rouge High: The Bulldogs senior forward scored two goals and also had an assist in Baton Rouge High's 6-0 win over Zachary on the team's senior night.
