I am deeply disappointed in the editorial boardโs endorsement of Julia Letlow for Senate, and even more disappointed that The Times-Picayune has never even done an in-depth interview with the Democrat winner of the first round, Jamie Davis. The absolute shutout of information about a man who won every single parish in the state in the Democratic primary shows just how unserious this organization has become.
Davis has come this far by campaigning all over the state with no PAC money or assistance from the national party. The grassroots support he has gained is nothing short of miraculous in a field where big money has flowed into this state to support the Republican candidate of choice.
I am a subscriber, and I want to cancel my subscription for this egregious dereliction of duty by a so-called news organization. However, I have to keep it for work purposes, but believe me when I say I will be searching high and low for independent media that can replace this source. Please at least show you care about reporting and providing information to the public. Thank you.
