The jury is not still out on Venezuelan oil. The U.S. attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of its president and his wife were a blatant violation of international law. As such, it is also a violation of the U.S. Constitution, which commits us to adhere to international law. It is shocking to see the newspaper celebrating what is, in reality, stealing. You are the possibility of ¶¶Òõh oil refineries benefiting from stolen oil! Have we really gotten so low?
Your newspaper needs to denounce the Trump administration for violating the Constitution’s war powers clause that gives Congress, and only Congress, the ability to declare war. It should be announced as a violation of the United Nations charter, of which we were a prominent author and promoter, which declares aggression a violation of international law. Have we really become a totally lawless nation?
Oh, right. That’s exactly what we did in Iraq. Didn’t President Donald Trump denounce that war?
