Part of the sound wall along Interstate 10 in Baton Rouge will be pressure-washed on Monday and Tuesday, bringing a series of overnight ramp closures, the state Department of Transportation and Development said.ย
The affected ramps and the closure dates and times are:
- I-10 eastbound Acadian on-ramp closed Monday, Oct 20, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- I-10 westbound Acadian off-ramp closed Tues., Oct. 21, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.ย
- I-10 westbound College Drive on-ramp closed Tues., Oct. 21, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The office of East Baton Rouge Parish-President Sid Edwards said earlier this month that the city-parish government and the DOTD will work together to clean the walls in both directions between Acadian Thruway and the I-10/I-12 split.
The project will use drones provided by LA Drone Services, which has been contracted to perform the work, the mayor-president's office said.ย
The upcoming closures are subject to change, depending on weather conditions, DOTD said.ย
