Residents are being allowed to return to their homes in St. Helena Parish after a pipeline explosion at a business prompted evacuations and road closures on Saturday.
No injuries were reported, authorities said.
The pipeline was located in the gravel lot of h Aggregate Materials, where people are not permitted to enter, leading to an evacuation order and road closures, officials reported.
Areas around Newsom Road, Dennis Lee Road and Burkett Lane were evacuated, the St. Helena Sheriff’s Office said. The Sheriff’s Office said the evacuation order expired shortly before 2:30 p.m.
