A suspect was arrested Tuesday in the fatal shooting of a woman in a Baton Rouge apartment in May, officials said.
Ryan Selestan, 33, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts of second-degree murder and illegal use of weapons, Baton Rouge police said in a news release.
The arrest was made with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Office, police said.
The victim, Shyquencia Marshall, was shot inside an apartment in the 1200 block of North Ardenwood shortly before 1 a.m. May 28, police said.
She was transported to a hospital, but died of her injuries.
