The former Burger King at 7505 Jefferson Hwy. will be the second location for BLDG 5, the popular Baton Rouge restaurant known for its grazing boards and internationally inspired dishes.
The hope is to open BLDG 5 Goodwood before the end of the year, said Brumby Broussard, who co-owns the restaurant with his wife, Misti.
The building is being expanded by about 2,500 square feet.
Plans are to keep what made BLDG 5 popular while adding new flavors to the restaurant and bar, he said.
โIt will be BLDG 5 reimagined for the new neighborhood,โ Broussard said. BLDG 5 opened its original location under the Perkins Road Overpass in 2019.
DNA Workshop is the architect, while Charles Carter Construction is the contractor.
