In the most packed parade day of the weekend, will roll on the Uptown New Orleans route today.
The krewes of Pontchartrain, Legion of Mars, Choctaw and Freret will roll in a line starting at 11:30 a.m. The Knights of Sparta and Pygmalion will follow in the evening at 5:30 p.m.

The krewes will parade on the Uptown route with the bulk of the festivities happening on St. Charles Ave.
About the krewes
The Krewe of Pontchartrain will parade with 350 members and 16 floats under the theme "Super Pontchartrain!"ย
Six hundred Legion of Mars riders will parade on 21 floats in their annual salute to military and first responders, called "Defending Freedom for 250 Years."
With 15 floats and 200 members, Choctaw rolls with the theme "Choctaw Sparkles with Timeless Hollywood Glamour."
Fourth in line, Freret parades with "The Pulse of Mardi Gras" with 1,000 riders including Trombone Shorty and Big Freedia.
