At an event to hand out free gumbo and fried fish meals under the I-10 on Dec. 13, Keith Lee said he would hold a food festival in New Orleans in 2026.

Lee said the inaugural Familee Festival on May 16 would celebrate local restaurants, h music, local creators and “community values.” His representatives also shared it would be presented with support from Live Nation Urban, a subsidiary of Live Nation focused on hip-hop, R&B and gospel music, and New Orleans restaurateur Larry Morrow.

On Tuesday, the famous online food reviewer revealed more about the Familee Festival he has been working on for months in a  viewed over 1 million times. While details are still sparse, tickets for the festival will go on sale on Feb. 9.

“We’ve been working a year on this, and I can’t wait for y’all to see it,” Lee said in the video.

The social media star has been building a network with restaurant owners of the spots he enjoys and that he feels are overlooked. Along the way, Lee has been sharing his journey with his ravenous 4 million followers.

“Every single time you’ve ever seen me eat food and been like, ‘oh, that looks good,’ they gonna be there,” he said.

So far, Lee has revealed that has signed on as one of the at the event, which he said will feature well-known artists and family-friendly activities with affordably priced tickets.

“I got cussed out a couple of times because I wanted to be super cheap. And in this economy, that don’t make the most sense to try and make a profitable festival. But I don't care. I want y'all that want to be there to be there,” Lee said.

The lack of information prompted thousands of people to comment on social media and ask for more details.

A location, a time, music lineup or the exact ticket price have yet to be revealed, but Lee said more information will come over the next two months.

Lee told his TikTok followers in 2023 that New Orleans was the best food city in America. Since then, he has made several visits to other , attended the Essence Festival and spoken at Larry Morrow’s .

Lee said that New Orleans will be the first city where he hosts his food festival, and that it will be in a new city every year.

“I think it's gonna be the best festival to ever exist,” he said.
