When the holidays come around, sometimes the last thing you want to do is spend Christmas in the kitchen. Let these Baton Rouge restaurants take the hassle out of the day and leave the dishes for someone else to clean.

Christmas Eve

  •  (2857 Perkins Road): From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., a Christmas Eve holiday menu by chef Chris Motto will serve escargot, lobster bisque, Brussels sprouts, beef Wellington, short rib osso bucco, bread pudding and more.

  • (10250 Plaza Americana Drive): This spot is open until 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Plus, when dining in through Dec. 24, children get a free toy up to $5.

  • (3739 Perkins Road): Christmas Eve brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reservations can be made online.

  • (2158 O'Neal Lane, 3617 Perkins Road): The Cajun restaurant will be open, serving its usual menu from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • (10111 Perkins Rowe): Charbroiled oysters and other favorites will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • (2325 S. Acadian Thruway): This spot will be open 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • (6721 Exchequer Dr.): The barbecue restaurant will be open 7 a.m. to 3 pm., with breakfast available until 11 a.m.

1717 Kitchen inside The Queen will serve a holiday spread 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Day, including roasted red pepper and smoked gouda soup, New York cheesecake, baked ham and more. 

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

  •  (1717 River Park Blvd.): 1717 Kitchen will serve a holiday spread 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Day, including roasted red pepper and smoked gouda soup, New York cheesecake, baked ham and more. It'll also be open regular hours on Christmas Eve.

  • (all locations): The diner chain is open 24/7, 365 days of the year, and Christmas waffles are no exception.

  • (5252 Corporate Blvd.): The steakhouse will be open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Da,y serving its full menu. Reservations can be made online.

  • (150 Third St.): The annual holiday buffet, open 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will feature charbroiled oysters, lobster and gruyere mac and cheese, gumbo, prime rib and more. 

  • (4608 Bennington Ave.): This spot will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Christmas Day.

  •  (777 L'Auberge Ave.): From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., a holiday buffet will be served at Bon Temps Market on Christmas Day. Tickets are $34.99, and guests must be at least 21.

  • (11294 Florida Blvd.): The Asian buffet will serve its usual spread 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. 

  • (3155 Perkins Road) This spot will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Eve and and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Christmas Day.
