At 4225 Nicholson Drive, the old blue and yellow Plucker's Wing Bar sign was taken down, soon to be replaced with a familiar red and white logo belonging to City Slice.
The local pizzeria moved into the space and opened for business on Sept. 11.
"We had an opportunity to get a bigger location, and we took it," said City Slice general manager Matt Dispenza. "It was time to expand, get a bigger footprint."
City Slice closed its original location at 164 W. Chimes St. on June 23 after opening there in 2018. But the close came with the promise to reopen another location.
About two and a half months later, pizza lovers can get a slice of the action at the new location on Nicholson Drive.
What's different?
The new location means that City Slice will have a kitchen nearly three times bigger, Dispenza said. There's more seating too, roughly 100, he said, and the space has 21 televisions of varying sizes.
They'll also be able to sling out more pizzas in the kitchen.
"We have two, double-stack brick ovens that we're cooking with now," Dispenza said.
For those still mourning the loss of Pluckers, the City Slice menu will also have a selection of wings.
"Wings, pizza and beer," Dispenza said. "That's where we're at."
