Chicky Sandos is closing one of its three locations in Baton Rouge, according to a social media post.
The Baton Rouge-born business started as a food truck in 2020 serving Nashville-inspired chicken and has since opened three brick-and-mortar locations across the city. The business announced Thursday that its location at 8121 Florida Blvd. will close permanently at the end of the day.
“We’re still cooking strong at our Jefferson & Airline locations, same recipes, same heat, same energy,” the post stated. “Sometimes moving forward means making tough decisions and this was one of those moments.”
The business serves dishes like the Sando, a fried chicken sandwich with a buttered brioche bun, coleslaw, pickles and sando sauce, served with seasoned waffle fries. Another popular dish is the Chicky Fries, waffle fries topped with chicken bits, monteray jack cheese, cheddar cheese, sando sauce and green onions.
Chicky Sandos’s other two locations (7930 Jefferson Highway and 12555 Airline Highway) will remain open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Wednesdays.
