Voices of Virtue invites the community to “Holidays H.O.P.E. for the Homeless” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at 1233 Government St., Baton Rouge.
This event — Helping Other People Emerge — will offer gumbo, cocoa, cookies, speakers, haircuts, music and local vendors, all to uplift and support those in need during the holiday season.
Donation requests include blankets, coats, caps and gloves.

Supreme Court's John M. Guidry to speak at Fairview Baptist Church
Fairview Baptist Church, 1636 Braddock St., Baton Rouge, will welcome h Supreme Court Associate Justice John M. Guidry as the guest speaker during its 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday.
All are invited.
'The Jesus Experience'
Baton Rouge creatives Aaron and Jency Hogan will present an immersive art experience, "The Jesus Experience," at Eye Wander studio, 7964 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The presentations, which last 10 minutes, will include a walk-through of Jesus paintings by Jency Hogan along with Aaron Hogan's photography.
Music program at St. Luke's
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 8833 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, will host the Baton Rouge Music Club Auxiliary’s December meeting at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the church's Witter Hall.
The evening will offer a program of holiday anthems and carols performed by several members of the St. Luke’s Choir.
This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served following the program.
