The number of Entergy customers facing power outages in East Baton Rouge Parish had fallen to about 2,600 by 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the company's website.
The majority of those customers without power were in the Arlington area, about 2,000. The company estimated those customers' service would be restored by 8:30 p.m.
Winds reached 40 to 50 mph in the capital area Saturday, accompanied by thunderstorms.Ìý
