An arrest has been made in a fatal Mardi Gras shooting in Mamou, police said.
Quincy Thibodeaux was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and witness tampering, according to Evangeline Parish Sheriff records. His bond was listed at $7,500.
The victim was identified as Allen Thomas.
Police said Thomas was found Feb. 17 at a home on Railroad Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was taken to Savoy Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation remains ongoing.
