A Youngsville man has been sentenced to 10 years after being convicted earlier this year of distributing child sexual abuse materials, federal authorities said.
Nicholas J. Miller, 45, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison on April 21, followed by 15 years of supervised release, stated an announcement from the U.S. attorney for the Western District of ถถา๕h.
Miller was convicted in January. Evidence presented in court showed that in July 2025, the Federal Bureau of Investigation received information that Miller had shared child sexual abuse material with Brad William Blanchard, a former Abbeville resident who was prosecuted separately and sentenced in November 2025 to 150 months in prison.
Investigators confirmed that Miller distributed the material to Blanchard. Authorities said that after his arrest, Miller admitted to creating social media accounts to entice minors into sending sexually explicit material.
He also acknowledged using hidden cameras to produce additional abuse material, which he then shared.
The FBI led the investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Danny Siefker, with assistance from Paralegal Specialist Denise Duhon.
