A juvenile has been arrested in Youngsville after police determined they were involved in criminal activity that led to shots being fired.
On Sunday the Youngsville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Cage Wagon Drive in the Youngsville city limits.
Authorities located a juvenile who sustained a gunshot wound to the hand. The juvenile was treated on scene and transported for medical evaluation.
Officials said they obtained evidence indicating the juvenile was allegedly involved in criminal activity related to the incident. On Monday the juvenile was booked into juvenile detention.
The investigation is ongoing.
